How Do Automated Garage Door Systems Work?
An automated garage door is easier to use without sacrificing durability or security. Almost all of our garage doors can be fitted with automation systems making gaining access so much easier.
You do not want to have to get out your car to open your garage in the pouring rain and that is exactly what our automation systems save you from. From the single press of a button, your garage door will open, giving you immediate access to your garage. This is the same for closing it as well so even when you are leaving, you will have complete control.
The automated systems are installed with your roller shutter or garage door and depending on the door installed, the automation system will differ. However, all automation systems work the same. They all aim to give you quick and easy access to your garage while also ensuring your possessions are kept safe.

Garage Door Operation
As mentioned already, each garage door operates differently when fitted with an automation system. When we install a new garage door, they are fitted with an automation system that gives you quick and easy access to your property without sacrificing security or durability.
A roller shutter door is installed with an overhead canopy that it rolls into when operated manually. This is the same when automated. The roller shutter will run along the guide rails that are either side of the garage opening and will roll up into the canopy before lowering when you need it to. Due to the compact nature of this door, it does not take up that much space making it the perfect choice for homeowners that don't have a large driveway or much space in their garage.
Up and over doors are installed with a track at the top of the garage. The door will run along this track when being opened and will lay flat against the ceiling of the garage. Due to there being no sections in these doors, up and over doors do kick out and bend into the garage. This makes them more suitable for properties with larger driveways or bigger garages.
Unlike the other models of sectional doors, our overlap trackless sectional doors are not installed with a rail at the top of the garage. Instead, these doors fold up into themselves and are held at the top of the garage opening. These fold in and don't take up that much space so you are able to park quite closely to them and still operate the door.
Sectional garage doors are similar to up and over doors when being operated automatically. They have a rail at the top of the door that they run along, but instead of kicking out, they follow guide rails up the door opening before folding into the garage.
